Islay is a popular visitor destination featuring no less than eight distilleries for the ultimate whisky enthusiast. The largest of the hebridean isles, Islay is just a few hours from the Kintyre coast between Gigha and Jura.
With a population of just over 3,000 (Tarbert's population is around 2,000) there is alot of island for a low population rich in wildlife, golf and much more.
